A reminder to Syllabus students that starting June 1, 2022, the RAIC will start using only your emails for all Syllabus communications.

If you need assistance with this transition, please contact Portia Ymer Sobel (

The RAIC is proud to partner with Toronto Metropolitan University for a pilot project* to support portfolio development for a group of Canadian architecture students.
We invite students in CCUSA architecture programs to join a portfolio consultation session. We are recruiting both French and English-speaking participants as well as RAIC Syllabus students.
Details: Participants will join a in one portfolio consultation meeting, each being 20 minutes in duration.
When: May 17, 2022, 4:00 p.m. -5:30 p.m. ET (90 minutes) or July 12, 2022, 4:00 p.m. -5:30 p.m. ET (90 minutes)
Complete this short online application before May 13, 2022, to register for a consultation. There are a limited number of spaces available, therefore, registering does not guarantee a consultation. Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
*This project is delivered in partnership with the Business + Higher Education Roundtable, and with support from the Government of Canada and RBC Future Launch.

It’s important for students collecting CERB hours to ensure their Confirmation of Employment and Confirmation of Mentor forms are accurate and up to date. If the names on your logbook are not on file, your CERB hours will be rejected.
Please verify with your provincial regulator to ensure you are meeting signature and initialing requirements. Some jurisdictions require original signatures and other jurisdictions  allow for copies. As COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted in the workplace, this is especially pertinent.
We will always accept the same CERB requirements as your provincial regulator, however it is best practice to  ensure both your supervisor and mentor sign the same page and initial all other pages.

RAIC Connects is a virtual community where members can share ideas, discuss practice challenges, post questions, read and share blog posts and news articles, learn about fellow RAIC members, and benefit from shared knowledge, resources, and information.

Syllabus students have access to a Syllabus student-only community on RAIC Connects, where they can share content, ideas, and network. Discussion boards for studio levels have also been added to the community. We encourage students to visit the community and introduce themselves!

Athabasca registration

The registration deadline is the 10th of each month for history, theory, and technical courses with our educational service provider, Athabasca University. Courses will start on the 1st of the following month.
Remember to register on the Syllabus Student Portal as well. Our systems are not linked with Athabasca University, so this does not register you twice or result in any fees. This simply allows us to maintain the student records and transcripts in our own system.
