It’s important for students collecting CERB hours to ensure their Confirmation of Employment and Confirmation of Mentor forms are accurate and up to date. If the names on your logbook are not on file, your CERB hours will be rejected.

Please verify with your provincial regulator to ensure you are meeting signature and initialing requirements. Some jurisdictions require original signatures and other jurisdictions  allow for copies. As COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted in the workplace, this is especially pertinent.

We will always accept the same CERB requirements as your provincial regulator, however it is best practice to  ensure both your supervisor and mentor sign the same page and initial all other pages.

If you are a student taking the RAIC 690B in Term 1 of 2022, please contact the National Office so we can start the process of reviewing your transcript and the submitted CERB hours. As noted above, while in the Program, you are required to record your work experience hours regardless of how many hours have been collected so far.

Please direct any questions about the new IAP manual by email to Ivan Martinovic (syllabusdirector@raic.org).

The RAIC Syllabus Program has made Microsoft Office 365 available, for free, for all students, instructors, and coordinators involved with Syllabus. As a part of this package, Microsoft Office 365 emails will be used as the official school email. Please use your Microsoft email address for all Syllabus communications.

A reminder that we will require all registered students in the Syllabus Program transition to this new email, on or before May 31, 2022.

If you have misplaced your log in details, please contact Portia Ymer Sobel (pymersobel@raic.org).

RAIC Connects is a virtual community where members can share ideas, discuss practice challenges, post questions, read and share blog posts and news articles, learn about fellow RAIC members, and benefit from shared knowledge, resources, and information.

Syllabus students have access to a Syllabus student-only community on RAIC Connects, where they can share content, ideas, and network. Discussion boards for studio levels have also been added to the community. We encourage students to visit the community and introduce themselves!

Athabasca registration

The registration deadline is the 10th of each month for history, theory, and technical courses with our educational service provider, Athabasca University. Courses will start on the 1st of the following month.

Remember to register on the Syllabus Student Portal as well. Our systems are not linked with Athabasca University, so this does not register you twice or result in any fees. This simply allows us to maintain the student records and transcripts in our own system.
